Audio Essay

Updated: Jun 29, 2022

When the COVID-19 Pandemic first reached the horizon of the United States, I was 6 months into my 8-month long student teaching internship. We continued under the assumption that life would return to "normal" after a 2-week break from school. It quickly became clear that a swift return to school was not in the cards. After a while, it also became clear that a return to the normalcy that existed before was not realistic. A post-pandemic life is anything but normal. We have continued to reinvent the way we live in a world that is still riddled with COVID-19 and recovering from the immense loss and trauma the world has faced. In my audio essay, I explain how the landscape of education has changed and how we can reinvent education for the future based on the lessons we've learned.
